"Winter Glow" is an oil painting of Amsterdam’s Spiegelgracht canal that captures the magical, festive spirit of the city during Christmastime. Painted entirely with a palette knife using a heavy impasto technique, the deep-textured, thick strokes create a 3D effect. This is particularly striking in the warm yellow and white lights of the buildings, which contrast beautifully with the moody, dark blue sky.
