This piece is part of the exclusive Amsterdam Series. It is my experience of the city’s enduring pulse. Through a bold palette knife technique, the canvas carries a physical weight-thick, three-dimensional energy, sculptural textures that mimic the rugged charm of ancient brick and the fluid dance of the canals.
The composition centers on the interplay of dramatic color and light, where glowing windows reflect off the water like liquid gold. Every stroke tells a story of the boats that have navigated these veins for centuries, inviting the viewer to lose themselves in the captivating beauty of the Dutch capital.
This painting captures the iconic scenery of the Herengracht-heart of Amsterdam.
